Take a look at this exterior door lock – a completely wireless solution, and uplinked to a Gateway device that links back to the server to update cards on-the-fly! No need to gather credentials and update them from the desk and then re-distribute, this lock will do it all for you!  These locks utilize three AA alkaline batteries, so maintaining them is easy, and on average can last 6-8 months of daily use before batteries start to run low.
